Dorking & District Radio Society

In August we don't have a Tuesday evening meeting, to avoid the traditional holiday season. However we meet at a member's home for an informal summer social.

In 2017 we were welcomed by our chairman and his wife, and enjoyed fish and chips, with home-made apple crumble for dessert. It was an opportunity to catch up with members and their families who cannot easily attend our regular evening meetings at Dorking.

In December we enjoy a Christmas dinner at a local restaurant, again with partners. An opportunity to celebrate and share the personal and club achievements of the year. Ex‑members (associates) who are able to attend are also warmly invited to renew friendships.

The Society celebrated its seventieth anniversary in 2017, and a special commemorative lunch on 29th April at Denbies Vineyard marked the occasion. The invitation was extended to include local and RSGB dignatories, ex‑members and other local clubs.
